Mekong Delta: Agriculture land value breaks record

High Pangasius price has caused farmer's rush for river-bank land and ponds.
Land usage transfer price for agricultural land located along Tien and Hau river is now recorded at 100-150 million vnd/1,000 m2 (1-1.5 billion VND/hecta - US$100,000 ). Ponds or garden land along small canals is valued at 50-70 million vnd/1,000m2. This price established new record in the Mekomng Delta Region.
